Whether she’s speaking at women’s conferences or retreats, blogging, or writing books, Gaye Lindfors is not afraid to poke fun at her own mishaps. She brings a blend of Bible teaching, life stories, and humor. She joins the show to about her most recent book, “Getting My Ducks in a Row and other Stories of Faith,” which reminds us that when we don’t have our act together (which, for a lot of us, is much of the time), when we can’t even find our ducks and getting them in a row seems like mission impossible, God is faithful.

18-year-old Kiley Daniels shares about how God is using her to share the gospel as she battles the exact same brain cancer her dad has. Just a few months before Kiley’s dad was diagnosed in 2019, the Holy Spirit got ahold of Kiley’s heart.  She shares how seeing her dad model and walks out his faith in his diagnosis has prepared her for walking out hers.

You will love the wisdom Kiley shares and some practical ways she is on a mission for Jesus in the places she goes for surgery, treatment, and beyond.

This Week's Takeaways:

-  God places people in the right place at the right time

-  If God walks you to it, He’ll walk you through it

-  Kiley and her dad’s mantra throughout battling brain cancer: “If one person comes to know Christ, it will be worth it.”

-  Going through a tough season allows us to evaluate what really is important in life

- Focus on blessing other people in difficult circumstances can be a source of joy while always focusing on your own hardship can be depressing

Author Alisa Childers joins Carrie Robaina to chat about her brand new book “Another Gospel?” where she helps the average Christian understand the theological depth of the gospel so they know to respond to progressive Christianity, can determine the Truth, and be able to rest in that.

This Week's Takeaways:

-   If you’re a Christian, you’re already an apologist

-  Apologetics simply means to always be ready to give a defense for what you believe

-  Progressive Christianity is a movement that is springing up within the evangelical church where a group of Christians is questioning things like the virgin birth, do we really need to believe that Jesus resurrected, re-thinking cultural topics and how they relate to the Bible

- Progressive Christianity largely demotes the Bible to be something that we can learn a lot from but is not authoritative in our lives.

- Progressive Christianity is not attacking the secondary beliefs that are theologically debated like speaking in tongues or women in leadership but is motivate by action and how our behaviors make others feel and creates a lower view of the Bible by hyper-focusing on the human element

- Could progressive Christianity be a different religion because it has a different god; the god of individuals as a deity?

Carrie Robaina shares her 3 best tips for making the transition back-to-school easier in the midst of a pandemic whether you're homeschooling, going to private or public school!

This Week's Takeaways:

- As we go back to school the best thing we can do as followers of Jesus is to respect others even if we disagree

- Grace goes a long way. If someone makes a different choice from us as to how they approach the school year we must absolutely show them love and not point fingers.

- Prayer is the BEST thing we can do. Pray for administrators, teachers, parents, our own family, and of course our children. Below are some verses you can pray over your kids.

Bible verses you can pray over your children:

“You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” Psalm 16:11 NIV

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” James 1:5 NIV

“But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.” James 3:17 NIV

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12 NIV

“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13 NIV

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 NIV

In a ‘cancel culture’ climate, we are called to bring heaven to earth and live not as the world does, but as our Father God has ordained. In this episode, Carrie Robaina asks this important question. During this moment in time, are we as followers of Jesus going to be men and women who serve a ‘culture kingdom’, or are we going to bring the Kingdom to culture?

Key Takeaways from this Episode:

-Now is the time to be the people God calls us to be in living out the Kingdom of God here on Earth as it is in Heaven.

-We must align our thoughts, actions, and speech to reflect Kingdom culture over a culture kingdom.

- Be kingdom-minded and let people know they matter, that you have prayed for them, etc.

-Wherever you are and wherever you go, Kingdom culture is there.  God knows no bounds.  His kingdom is the whole Earth.
